_{It was about to storm. Any idiot could see that. That was why Path and Remus were out. It was the best time to go around and scavenge for things, no one else dared to come out.

Path stopped dead in his tracks when a hint of white among the darkened green caught his eye. A single flower, probably a daisy, had decided to bloom right in the middle of the rocky path. He contemplated it for a few moments, his expression turning grim. Remus' tail dipped between his legs when he realized what the problem was. Oh. Her.

"She probably would've liked a flower like this, right?" Path finally looked up at him, cocking his head to the side. He knew the answer already. They weren't allowed to talk about the past, but now seemed like a really good time to bring it up. "You're not a pup anymore," Remus responded flatly, his ears flattening to the back of his neck in pseudo-disgust. All he had to do was prove to him that he had no interest, and maybe he'd go on.

"I know, but..." He still remembered. They had to leave because the forest was too dangerous. Aru, Ryder, Fallen, Sai... He didn't remember everyone, but he remembered a good amount. "Maple would've--" "Shut it, Path. Let's keep going. We've got a fire to build back at camp."}
